Zero 7 – band with great history

A lot of people have never heard of them, but Zero 7 has been the starting point for 2 very popular singers. I’m of course talking about Sia Furler and Sophie Barker. Band recorded lots of great songs. Today I thought why not post some of my favorite songs from this band.

Zero 7 songs that I like

Let’s start things of with less know songs of their, namely a hidden gem of their called “Pop Art Blue”.

“Yeah Ghost” is the album that this song comes from. It doesn’t feature neither Sophie nor Sia, but rather a mix of singers like ESKA, Martha Tilstone, Blinki Shapiro and several others. This song reminds me of my younger days, when I was with partners that I tried my best to please but they always seemed distant and hostile towards me. The lyrics “I cut myself on barbered wire, getting wood for the fire” really speak to me in that sense.

“In The Waiting Line” is a song that most of us can relate to. I don’t think that there’s any point in explaining the mood the song is set to. Title alone explains it pretty well. We all feel like we’re in the waiting line. For what exactly, who knows. “Simple Things” is the album where both Sophie Barker and Sia Furler played the role of the singer. “Destiny” is another great song that features vocals by Sia. Let me know what you think of Zero 7. I love them a lot. Cheers and until next time, wish you all the best.
